Audrey, our Enthusiastic Cruise Director and amazing dive instructor, is the heart and soul of your adventure aboard Jakare Liveaboard. With an infectious passion for the ocean and an unwavering love for exploration, she ensures every guest experiences Komodo and Raja Ampat in the most magical way. Whether guiding you through world-class dive sites, sharing her deep knowledge of marine life, or simply making you feel at home on board, Audrey’s energy and warmth create an unforgettable journey. Her enthusiasm is as boundless as the sea itself-ready to welcome you for an adventure of a lifetime!

Born in Flores, with roots in both Labuan Bajo and Bajawa, Sahril knows Komodo like the back of his hand. With many years of experience as a Dive Master and Cruise Director on both day trips and liveaboards, he brings confidence, dedication, and an instinctive understanding of the region to every journey. His excellent English and natural sense of humour make guests feel at ease, while his passion for pelagic life brings extra excitement to every dive. Away from the water, Sahril is also a talented artist who loves to draw.

Originally from Sulawesi and now based in Sorong, Abu Thalib has been part of Jakaré for nearly nine years. He began as Chief Officer before becoming Captain almost three years ago. With an exceptional knowledge of the vessel, down to the smallest detail, Thalib leads every journey with confidence, determination, and a deep commitment to safety. Reserved at first, his humour and generous smile soon reveal his warm character. Always present for his crew and family, he brings a big heart to life onboard and sees every voyage as both a responsibility and an experience.

Growing up with a deep respect for the sea, Adi has spent the last nine years mastering the art of vessel operations. As Chief Officer, he not only ensures the smooth navigation of the ship but also oversees the maintenance of its wooden structures, guiding the crew with precision and expertise. His enthusiasm for continuous learning and growth keeps him motivated, making every challenge an opportunity for improvement. Always optimistic, Adi believes that life is a gift – one that should be lived with meaning and purpose.

Darmawan, known as Mawan, Roger, or Elninho, has been a dedicated seafarer since 2022. As a skilled speedboat driver and crew member at Jakare, he ensures every vogave is smooth, safe and welcoming. With his expertise at the helm and a warm smile to greet guests, he brings both professionalism and hospitality to the journey. His energy, dedication and adventurous spirit make him an invaluable part of the Jakare team, creating unforgettable experiences for every guest on board.

Born in Tanah Beru, a place deeply rooted in Indonesia’s seafaring traditions, Sam has spent six years mastering the art of navigation. As a Juru Mudi, he is at the heart of every jorney, ensuring smooth sailing, precise anchoring, and well – coordinated diving expeditions. For him, the ocean is more than just a workplace, it’s a way of life. Dedicated to personal growth, he continues hie education while embracing every adventure the sea offers. Off duty, he enjoys life’s simplest pleasures: good food, good rest, and the occasional reminder that he’s more charming that most people realize.

With years of experience navigating the seas, Fajar has been a speedboat driver/Juru Mudi for nearly three years, skulfully streeting vessels and ensuring smooth, safe journeys for guests travelling to dive sites. Dedicated and precise, he plays a key role in every expedition. Motivated by the dream of making his family proud, Fajar embraces every journey with dedication and open heart, he is ready for whatever the future holds.

Dedicated and hardworking, Dadang is the Chief Engineer (KKM) aboard Jakare, bring over four years of experience since joining in September 2020. He thrives in a collaborative environment, valuing strong teamwork and swift support from collagues and management. Known for his calm demeanour and sense of peace, Dadang deeply appreciates the family-like atmosphere at Jakare. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Dadang finds balance in activities that nurture both his creativity and connection to nature.

Born into a seafaring family, Yaya has always felt a deep connection to the ocean. As a First Engineer with over four years of experience, he ensure the ship’s machinery runs seamlessly, keeping operation smooth and reliable. His dedication to marine engineering is marched by his love for music – when off duty, he finds balance in playing the guitar, letting rhythm and melody complemet the hum of the engines. With skill, passion, and resilience, Yaya navigates every journey with precision and purpose.

Originally named Tomas but known to everyone onboard as Angga, he is the youngest member of the Jakaré crew. Coming from Banyuwangi, East Java, he is following in his father’s footsteps and building his own path at sea. Quiet and naturally shy, Angga is recognised for his gentle character, warm smile, and constant willingness to help wherever needed. As Third Engineer, he approaches every task with care, curiosity, and dedication, always eager to learn and support the team behind the scenes.

Born and raised in Bima, Nasir finds joy in creating memorable dining experiences through his culinary expertise. Since joining in late 2023, he has been dedicated to crafting flavourful dishes that bring comfort and delight to guests. Passionate about serving others through his food, he constantly explores new menu ideas while maintaining the highest standards in the kitchen. His patience and precision reflect his commitment to excellence. When he is not cooking, Nasir enjoys touring on his motorcycle, embracing the freedom of the open road. Always relaxed and easygoing he is often caught smiling for no reason at all.

Yohanes, our dedicated Assistant cook, brings warmth and skill to every meal prepared for the crew aboard Jakare. His role extends beyond cooking, it is about service, adaptability, and making each day onboard a seamless experience. His favourite part of the job is the ever changing experience – new guests, new challenges, and endless breathtaking views of Indonesia’s islands. With an unshakable work ethic and positive mindset, Yohanes makes life on board even more enjoyable for everyone around him.

Originally from Labuan Bajo, Flores, Engelbertus Ernis has been a valued member of the Jakaré crew for the past two years. With a sharp eye for detail, he knows exactly where everything belongs and ensures each cabin remains spotless, comfortable, and welcoming. Hardworking, honest, and rarely seen without a smile, Ernis brings warmth and a touch of Flores spirit to life onboard. Always ready to help, he would never let a guest handle something alone. To him, Jakaré is a place of friendship, growth, and continuous learning.
