Every year on May 22, the world celebrates the International Day for Biological Diversity. It reminds us that our planet needs many different types of life to stay beautiful and healthy.  As a diver, some places stay in my heart forever. These are places where I do not just watch nature, but I actually feel like I am a part of it. For me, the magic of Komodo diving makes this national park one of those special places.

Komodo National Park is one of those rare places that still feels wild. Raw islands, powerful currents, and marine life that doesn’t just appear, but moves around you.  Over the past few years, its popularity has grown fast, with more than 429,000 visitors recorded in 2025. To protect this fragile ecosystem, a new regulation now limits access to just 1,000 visitors per day starting in April 2026.

Many of our guests imagine "The Last Paradise on Earth" exactly as the internet and social media show them: turquoise lagoons, limestone karsts, and reefs overflowing with life. However, when they finally touch the shoreline of Sauwandarek and Yenbuba, they discover something entirely new.
